February 20 has no owner yet

On February 20, 1962, astronaut John Glenn became the first American to orbit Earth, completing three orbits aboard the Friendship 7 capsule in under five hours. The flight was a crucial milestone for the American space programme, competing with the USSR in the space race. Glenn flew again as an astronaut in 1998, at age 77, becoming the oldest astronaut in history.

On February 20, 1437, King Sigismund of Luxembourg, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire and organiser of the Council of Constance (1414-1418), died. That council ended the Western Schism, in which three rival popes simultaneously claimed the throne of Saint Peter. Resolving the schism was one of the most complex political achievements of the Late Middle Ages.

On February 20, 1980, the US Olympic Committee voted in favour of a boycott of the Moscow Olympics, following President Jimmy Carter's call in protest at the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. A total of 65 countries boycotted the summer games. The USSR responded with a boycott of the Los Angeles Games in 1984, bringing its Eastern Bloc allies with it.
