November 14 has no owner yet

On November 14, 1922, Canadian physician Frederick Banting administered insulin to a human patient for the first time: young Leonard Thompson, 14 years old and critically ill with diabetes. The injection saved his life and marked the beginning of the modern era of diabetes treatment — a disease that until then was a death sentence. Banting received the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1923.

On November 14, 1948, Prince Charles of Wales, heir to the British throne, was born at Buckingham Palace. Son of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, Charles was the heir who waited the longest to accede to the throne, becoming King Charles III on September 8, 2022, aged 73, following his mother's death.

On November 14, 1889, American journalist Nellie Bly departed from New York to attempt to circumnavigate the world in less than 80 days, emulating the character of Jules Verne. She completed the journey in 72 days, 6 hours and 11 minutes, breaking the fictional record of Phileas Fogg. The trip proved that women could be great adventure reporters.
